Meditative Musicianship for Sound Practitioners

Broadcast on June 30, 2022
With Lynda Arnold
Hosted by Phyllis Anne Douglass

According to Lynda Arnold, an important aspect of being a sound meditation facilitator today is having a solid foundation of musical knowledge. The more we are in touch with the improvisational process of playing, becoming present with each sound we make, the more effective our sessions will be. This also includes learning the basics of music theory, so we can speak the language that universally binds all cultures, and provides a context from which to transmit our intentions.

In this session, you’ll discover:

  • The importance of musicianship skills in the sound healing arts
  • The ways to develop your meditative playing skills on any instrument
  • How to “drop in” and become present with your playing
